I’ve seen a saying that cousins are you first friends; and for my family and children, it seems to hold true.
I recently went out to photograph a family at the grandparents home around Easter time when they were all together. Part of the family lives out of Province but wanted to surprise the parents (grandparents) with photos for Easter. It’s always a little difficult to determine what a shoot is going to be like at a location that is unfamiliar to me, there are so many variables – what kind of setting is it, what does it look like, what is the lighting like etc. However, this family home was gorgeous and we were lucky enough to get some outdoor and indoor photos. It was quite chilly that day, so being outdoors with 4 children until 6 was not an option for very long.
When I arrived I introduced myself to these sweet children, 6 1/2years, almost 4 years, 2 1/2 years and 3 months, and away we went. I couldn’t help but giggle at the little boy during the shoot. For the first half of the shoot, no matter what we tried, we could not get him to have a relaxed smile. It was cracking us all up!
They all were adorable and what a lovely family!
