I am quite a lucky person when it comes to a fantastic group of friends. And one of the best things about some of those friends is that I had many of them since grade school. We actually joke about it often as there are quite a few of us from my class. When I look back through my class photos, starting in Kindergarten, I see so many of the same faces that I still continue to be close with. There is a lot of history. And then we fast forward into high school where I met my husband, who had also become friends with so many in my group of friends in grade nine. It is so wonderful to have a large, close group of friends who are not only my friends, but very close friends of my husband as well. (and now that we’re a “few years” out of high school it’s crazy to think my husband has now been close with them as well for 15+ years! )
Having friendships for 25+ years creates a family feeling. And that includes siblings of these friends. Many of them feel like younger siblings of my own, and I still have to shake my head when I think of all of these “little siblings” being grown, it feels like they should all still be “little”!
Mrs L falls into this “little sister” category. She is the younger sibling of a very dear friend of ours and I have watched her grow up over all these years into a beautiful woman, mother and wife. I was lucky to have a part in her wedding by making her wedding cake and now I get to have another part in her life, by photographing her family. And what a beautiful family it is! I knew it would only take Big Brother Mr L a short time to open up and love me 🙂 And that’s what happened; before long he was smiling and talking and SUCH a good listener! And Little Brother Mr E….well he was just too cute for words. Talk about a smiley baby!
I loved seeing the love and joy between father and sons; and it is beyond obvious how much Mr L not only loves his boys, but his beautiful wife as well. I had an incredible time from this shoot and have some new favourite photos!!
