Miss R was back in the studio for her 3 month photos! She brought along her big brother, who, I am told, insisted he wear his Best Big Brother shirt again. I am so excited to be able to photograph her every 3 months until her 1st birthday! But it really will prove how fast time flies! She is growing so quickly. I just love her little smile 🙂
I was so excited to have Miss K & Mr T at my new studio ~ they were preemies who spent a part of their young lives in the NICU and they reminded me of my own little Triplets. And although on earth they had already spent 11 weeks of their lives, corrected age they were just 2 weeks. They really were “Super Babies”. Mr T was a little “porkchop” especially when compared to his sister and I couldn’t help but laugh and think of my nephew at this age! They were absolute dolls and their parents… *sigh* …they were amazing. So sweet and kind and you could just tell how incredibly over the top excited and happy they were to be parents to these two sweeties. I just loved seeing how mom and dad were when they looked at their beautiful babies. I also am incredibly thankful to have a wonderful community of photographers that I am happy to call friends. My friend Stephanie, from Stesha Bella Photography came over to help during this session. She too, is incredibly kind and gentle.
I hope that I will be able to see them again in the future and how much they have changed. I wish their beautiful parents all the best.
Nothing could make me happier than growing with a family. Having a family trust me enough to continue to capture milestones in their lives. Almost 2 years ago I photographed this cute little family of 3 as they prepared for mama and papa to say I Do. Mr W was just a toddler but still full of such cuteness! After having a sweet little engagement/family session we patiently waited for the big day to arrive. I had such a fun time photographing their wedding; it was a gorgeous day with gorgeous people! So when they messaged me to let me know that another bundle was on their way and they wanted me to capture this time, I was elated. I don’t typically take sessions in the month of December but of course I made an exception for them! And it was another sweet baby boy! And my oh my, is he ever a spittin’ image of his big brother! He loved sleeping when his brother was around, but once big brother W left, he had worked up an appetite and wanted to eat! I still can’t believe how much he looks like his brother. And I am honoured to have continued capturing these precious moments for this family!

Talk about a dream. This little sweet cheeks was such a doll. She arrived sleeping, slept through being undressed and posed and didn’t wake up the entire session! She even slept as she left. While I prepare, and send my parents preparation information, occasionally we “don’t need it”! 🙂 Miss I melted my heart and after just 1.5 hours we were all done. It’s hard for me to know when to stop shooting so I often have to ‘force’ myself to stop~ so I had to stop and make myself give her back to mom and dad. I can only imagine how much she has changed since then, it just happens so fast. Miss I’s Auntie is very crafty and made some of the little hats we used (like the Reindeer hat). Mom tells me she has made her enough hats to likely last until she’s over 1! How lucky is that?

It took Mr A about 90 seconds to really start to warm up, and about 5 more minutes before he wanted to explore. His eyes and cheeks were just screaming “I’m too cute to not snuggle”! His mama told me they were having a blue, silver & white snowflake party so I went with it! He was such a good boy and I just loved having him in my studio. And as I’ve learned, I have photographed his “future girlfriend” on multiple occasions. Who knows, maybe one day they will be looking back, making a slideshow for their wedding and each have photos from my sessions! 🙂
I really enjoyed having him in my studio and I hope he and his family had just as much fun too!
I had a couple extra holiday mini clients after I moved into my new home. I photographed these sweet twins (yes, they are twins!) when they were in their mama’s belly and then again when they were just a few days old. I love their individual little personalities! They were (eventually) excited to be around me and show me their new baby cousin who had just flown in all the way from out west! (Who I was very excited to meet!)
Then I had another gorgeous family here; I photographed sweet little sister just 6 months earlier for her newborn session. I love watching them grow! Big sister is a DOLL!
I just wanted to kiss all their cheeks!
Mr C was one of my first newborns in my new studio in my new home! He was born just a short while after we moved into our new home and my husband and I worked quickly to transform our 4th level into my full studio. I learned what small tweaks I needed to make to it but the space! The room! The possibilities! And Mr C was a dream to have in the studio. Mama and Papa were amazing and I really enjoyed spending the very warm, quality time with them 🙂
And how perfect Mr C is- seriously look at those lips! Do you know how hard it is not to kiss those wonderful cheeks??? *sigh* Melt my heart.
I photographed Mr B 1 year ago for his newborn session. Even though I know a year has passed, I still almost expected him to be a baby. Not a walking, moving little man! And a mover he was! 🙂
What a beautiful family – so sweet! I enjoyed chasing him around my new studio (he was my first session in my new studio!) and I think he had fun exploring! Dad is a hunter and brought a beautiful pelt for his newborn session, so I had him bring it again. It was a little trickier this time to get him to stay still with it this time! But it certainly shows his difference! Happy Birthday handsome guy! xo
I held only 1 day of Christmas minis this year due to the fact that my family was moving in November! And what a beautiful day it was. I got to meet new little kiddies and see some yearly lovelies. I was able to use my new prop that my lovely husband made for me and all the accessories I got to go along with it. I just love this! (and I had to include a self taken portrait of my family!)
As some of you know, I have a very large family. My mother is from a family of 12! My mom is #11 of the 12. Recently her older sister Charlotte and her husband Tom celebrated an amazing 50 years together. What an incredible feat. Against what some may see as many life obstacles, for a couple to continue to love and remain together for 5 decades, what wisdom we could learn! And from this beautiful union came 4 children. And from these 4 children came 10 beautiful grandchildren. Wow. I spent Thanksgiving morning photographing this part of my family. We held the session at their home, with their farmland and beautiful red barn. I can remember visiting this home as a child and always loving that red barn. And even though the weather as of late has been a little warm, it was c-o-l-d that day! Phew! Congratulations and Happy anniversary! xo
