I can’t wait to photograph the wedding of these two beautiful people! It was freezing the day we went out to do their engagement session-but these two braved the weather to show me some love. (Since I was 34 weeks pregnant, I loved the cold weather!) I don’t know if you could find two more genuinely sweet and kind people- which makes sense why they would both be nurses and work in the medical field. So much compassion. And bring them together and we have an infinite amount of love towards each other. Their wedding day is going to be so much fun and so full of family and love. Yippee!
I met two of these little girls a couple years ago when I photographed them with another one of my clients who is their cousin. And they are just as sweet now as they were then, if not more so! This time around they brought their Aunt, Uncle and another cousin with them! We went to the apple orchard to take photographs, but sadly, there weren’t many apples when we went! But it doesn’t matter, these girls brought their own sweetness to the shoot!
This was one of my last families to photograph before I went on maternity leave! And what a wonderful family to finish with. These three children were some of the most wonderful, well mannered, adorable children I’ve ever seen. Even the youngest, who is less than 2 years old, would listen and pose just how I asked. Honestly all of them made me want to squeeze and hug them. And mom and dad were awesome too! It’s one of my favourite aspects of this job, meeting and talking with such wonderful people and families.
Some of you may know that we recently welcomed our third daughter into our family. She was born on January 5th weighing 8lbs 3oz, with what seems like 3lbs of that in her cheeks alone.
She was just 3 days fresh in the first three images, 2 weeks old in the images with my other daughters and 7 weeks old in the last outfit.
My oldest daughter, who is 8.5 years old, wore my wedding dress, my middle daughter who turned 5 a week before her sister was born, wore my veil and we wrapped our youngest. I am just in love.
The last image was taken for a model shoot for a vendor who made that little outfit (Handmade Trend).
She’s the reason (and a good one!) as to why it’s been somewhat quiet over in my photography world. Her sisters are very happy and love her so much. They were both (especially the 5 year old) very excited to learn to change diapers and on occasion argue over who will get to do it! They are very helpful to me and want to kiss her constantly. (Which sometimes results in her waking up which results in a somewhat unhappy mama!) 🙂
If you are expecting and having a midwife, you may see some of these images up at the Midwives of Windsor office during the year 🙂
I love this little man! I photographed him when he was just a wee 5lbs for his newborn session and we did a family session for his one year! His smile and his little toddle as he walks just melts hearts.
Mama does some photography herself, especially for reporting so she took photos of him during the first year. Daddy messaged me as mama’s birthday was approaching saying he wanted to get her a gift certificate to use towards a family session. I kid not, the same day mama messaged me about the cost of a session in hopes she could convince her husband to have a session done as he always said she could take the photos herself. I was so excited! She was going to be so excited and surprised when she got her birthday gift!
Miss T was my very last newborn before I started my photography maternity leave. My own little one was due 2 months later and my belly was starting to get too big to do sessions anymore.
I think little Miss wanted to be my final one because she waited two extra weeks to come out and meet us all! Her mom was one of my best friends growing up, we went to grade school and high school together and I got to shoot her parents wedding in Mexico just a couple years ago. She was amazing and so precious.
There was so much meaning through many of these photos. Since mama is an elementary teacher, I had to include the Princess & The Pea theme and dad works in radio so of course, I got to use my radio prop! Grampa also played for the St. Louis Blues back in the day so the jersey was also important! I loved every minute!
Miss A is a very tough cookie to crack. She is so inquisitive and thoughtful that she carefully studies all that is around her with the utmost seriousness. Even with the aid of her big brother, she held her smiles within and only showed it through her beautiful eyes.
Those cheeks begged to be pinched and kissed….and since she is my cousin’s daughter, I was lucky and happy to oblige.
I was at the hospital the day that her big brother was born, and it is hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago!
Almost 5 years ago I photographed her big cousin for her 6 month shoot and you can really tell they are related! (The image with the cabbage patch doll hat on is the one that I really see it in). I just love them!
