There are no words more accurate than simply GORGEOUS for this little girl. Her hair was amazing. Her smile. Her cheeks. Her amazingly gorgeous big brown eyes! Seriously, look at that gummy big smile she has. Awesome. Even her serious face was incredible. It was like she knew exactly what to do and how to pose during her session. I loved it!
I was so excited to have Miss S in studio! It was the year of the boys this year and it was nice to be able to pull out some girly items! Such a small world; it just so happened that I had taken care of their dogs at the old veterinary clinic I had worked at for many years. Miss S was an absolute dream baby; so tiny and perfect and sleepy and cuddly and awesome (I could go on!). Mom and Dad really wanted to get a Candy Corn photo as it was just around Halloween. They brought the candy and an adorable little hat. When I asked if someone had made the hat for her, dad replied that he did! He learned to knit just so he could make things for his little girl (sigh. Is that not the cutest thing you have ever heard?)
Sweet, adorable Miss A is one of my (many) little cousins- 2nd cousin in fact- we’ve got a VERY big family and there are lots of us! She is a tough cookie to crack into the smiles, but regardless, she is an absolute cabbage patch doll! Her eyes are ridiculously amazing- and I could just pinch her cheeks all day long. I remember when her big brother was born, just about 9 1/2 years ago, like it was yesterday. And now, here he is, a big brother, so grown and loving his new sister so much!
Mr A was a dream baby! 🙂 And it was so sweet to see him as I had photographed his sweet baby cousin just a couple weeks before! Both mom and dad are Chemists so they brought along their books which we had to include! And I love, love science! His sweet eyelashes were absolutely to die for. Every photo I edited I just couldn’t help but zoom in and stare at how awesome they were (many photos I didn’t even have to zoom in! They’re just so long!) And I could probably squish his big cheeks all day (although I bet he gets, and is going to continue getting, a lot of that!)
What a wonderful little family – congratulations on your amazing little boy!

I forgot to post these! Just before Father’s day one of my wonderful clients asked me to do a shoot with her boys as a surprise to her husband. I have photographed this family on multiple occasions; including their wedding and their newest additions newborn session so I was excited to see them again. My sweet baby (who is just a tad bigger than he was before) fell asleep so we took advantage!
How cute are they!??
I just love watching my clients grow~! Miss R is one of my dear babes on the grow with me plan and I enjoy seeing her every 3 months! It’s strange how slowly time will go except when you have scheduled appointments! Every time mama contacts me to say it’s time for the next photos I can’t believe it’s been 3 months again! She is just the sweetest little thing and I know she is the apple of her mama and papa’s eye (and big brother just adores her!)
Last year when I was waiting in the airport to head off to shoot a wedding in Mexico in walked Mr L’s mama and papa. Mama was a bridesmaid in the wedding and funny enough, years ago when we were in highschool, she was part of the group my husband hung out with when he went to Mexico with our friends! Daddy to be is also an electrician just like my husband! What a small world. We had such an awesome time in Mexico and it was there I learned of their super exciting, and yet still secret, news! They were expecting and I was one of the first people to learn about this little guys upcoming arrival and I was so excited! (of course we didn’t know whether the little bean was a boy or girl at that time!)
I was very excited to capture this handsome little guy and even more excited when mama and papa got in some shots themselves. Thank you for bringing your little man to see me; he is amazing. Seriously, look at those beautiful lips and adorable cheeks!

It’s always so special to see how excited people are when they contact me to schedule a shoot. I typically recommend to schedule the newborn session when mama-to-be is 18-22 weeks along, occasionally I will get a family who contacts … Continue reading →
I met Mr C and his family a couple months ago when I photographed him for Christmas. When his mom contacted me to do a cake smash shoot for his first birthday, it was a no brainer! This little guy is so sweet! His first encounter with me, he was Mr Serious but this time he was all smiles. And once again, when it came down to the cake smash portion, he dove right in! He was enjoying himself to the fullest and was quite the messy boy when he was finished. (Or should I say when we finished, I think he would have kept playing!)
I’m still in awe of his baby blues- I don’t think any photograph can truly capture the essence of his blues and how blue they are! But I’m sure you get the idea. Enjoy!!
My husband and I have been together for 12 years, since we were teenagers, which means I’ve grown up with his family and very much see them as family. He has only 1 sibling, a brother who is a couple years younger than us. Since we have been together for so long, I have been present to watch his brother grow up for almost half of his life (eek!), so I have taken on a role of “big sister” and feel it in my heart. I have watched him grow through various stages in his life and clearly remember the moment at my own wedding when I met his girlfriend for the first time. Something about her was different and special, and whether that scared him or not, I don’t know, but I could tell he felt different about this “one”. And more than 6 years later, this “one” is still special and I love her as a sister.
I have 2 daughters, and the only grandchildren for my in laws. I did not think this was going to be changing anytime soon, so I was not prepared for the news earlier this year that he was going to be a father- it was the best surprise! (for us it was a surprise, not to them). Although it was unexpected to us, this was well planned and VERY well received and exciting!!!! We went into planning mode shortly after finding out they were expecting and I have been enjoying doing a photographic series of her belly over the last few months (this is probably the hardest shoot as it is going to take 9 months to have a finished product!)
In September, they found out they were having a boy! My sister has 2 sons, so we have nephews however this will be the first “biological” nephew for my husband. Our newest nephew is not due until February, but because of the holiday season and weather, the baby shower was planned for November. Watching my brother and sister in law go through this journey has been very special for me. I can’t help but see him growing up before my very eyes. I am so very proud of both of them!
Here are just a couple details and shots from this sweet day.
Motorcycle Diaper Cake I made (Daddy to be has a bike!)
It was a Car theme shower- another diaper cake I made
Car theme Bum Cake (another hobby of mine) It’s hard to see but I made a ‘replica’ motorcycle of Daddy to Be’s (only his is blue)
It’s a lot harder to be in the photos, when you’re taking them! And it’s a lot harder to control the photo outcome, when you’re not taking them! Myself and Mama to be
