With a slight tear in my eye, I photographed this sweetheart earlier this year. I have literally been photographing him since he was in the womb and every year since and here he is, 4 years later and about to start JK! He is so sweet and vibrant and funny- such a joy to see. And it warms my heart that his parents still travel back to Windsor for me to photograph him!
I was excited to “surprise” his mom during the session with the “back to school” photos- and I loved watching his concentration as he wrote his name.
Have a great time in JK buddy!
I first met Mom and Dad (and Nonna and Nonno) many years ago as clients at my Veterinary Clinic. Over the years I watched them become parents, not once, but twice. I watched lovingly as these two grew each year and enjoyed seeing them all at the clinic when they brought their dogs in. Miss M made her first communion this year so I was honoured when they asked me to photograph her- especially since I no longer work at the same clinic and I don’t get to see them as often anymore!
I met two of these little girls a couple years ago when I photographed them with another one of my clients who is their cousin. And they are just as sweet now as they were then, if not more so! This time around they brought their Aunt, Uncle and another cousin with them! We went to the apple orchard to take photographs, but sadly, there weren’t many apples when we went! But it doesn’t matter, these girls brought their own sweetness to the shoot!
This was one of my last families to photograph before I went on maternity leave! And what a wonderful family to finish with. These three children were some of the most wonderful, well mannered, adorable children I’ve ever seen. Even the youngest, who is less than 2 years old, would listen and pose just how I asked. Honestly all of them made me want to squeeze and hug them. And mom and dad were awesome too! It’s one of my favourite aspects of this job, meeting and talking with such wonderful people and families.
Miss A is a very tough cookie to crack. She is so inquisitive and thoughtful that she carefully studies all that is around her with the utmost seriousness. Even with the aid of her big brother, she held her smiles within and only showed it through her beautiful eyes.
Those cheeks begged to be pinched and kissed….and since she is my cousin’s daughter, I was lucky and happy to oblige.
I was at the hospital the day that her big brother was born, and it is hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago!
Almost 5 years ago I photographed her big cousin for her 6 month shoot and you can really tell they are related! (The image with the cabbage patch doll hat on is the one that I really see it in). I just love them!
Sweet, adorable Miss A is one of my (many) little cousins- 2nd cousin in fact- we’ve got a VERY big family and there are lots of us! She is a tough cookie to crack into the smiles, but regardless, she is an absolute cabbage patch doll! Her eyes are ridiculously amazing- and I could just pinch her cheeks all day long. I remember when her big brother was born, just about 9 1/2 years ago, like it was yesterday. And now, here he is, a big brother, so grown and loving his new sister so much!
Miss R has been one of my Grow With Me babies that I have seen every 3 months since she was in the womb! Her hair has been one of the most incredible heads of hair since she was a newborn! And her eyes….sigh….they truly are this blue and adorable! She loved her cake, in fact, I think she would have surely eaten every last crumb if we let her. It’s been so awesome watching her grow; watching her personality and seeing her family every few months. It makes me sad to think her first year is over and I won’t be seeing her as often!
I loved mama’s idea of her first birthday photo being taken while holding a photo of her during her newborn session- so cute! (and see what I mean about the hair??)
It is fitting that my sweet Miss A is my 200th blog post! 🙂 This adorable girl has been coming to me since she was a newborn, for various shoots and model shoots too! She is just the sweetest; it’s unbelievable how well she listens when given any direction for her photos. And her smile melts my heart. My husband has also fallen in love with this little girl; he comments every time he sees her photos and has even said she makes him want another child (and since we’re having another baby perhaps we should thank her?). I am happy to call her parents my friends and love both our professional relationship and personal friendship.
Miss K had the most beautiful eyes! Her Gramma brought her to see me for her cake smash as a surprise for her mama and dada. How cute! I totally loved her cute 2 little teeth on the bottom every time she smiled- which I’m happy she did before the cake smash! Since when it came down to the cake smashing time, she just wasn’t as excited as the rest of us. She truly did not feel like getting herself messy! Good thing Gramma was there to help her out 🙂
These two beauties are my reason for everything I do. They, along with their little sister we are waiting to meet, are our world. They bring us laughter and joy. Tears and frustration. Happiness. Love.
