Woops! So with my own 2 older children home from school for the summer, along with the baby, it appears I’ve gotten a tad behind on my blogging! Well, time to make up for that!
This little guy was such a dream to photograph. He had the most perfect skin and I just loved his little smiles that he offered to me! It wasn’t too long later while I was attending a workshop on Introducing Solids to your baby that I ran into him and his mama again- only he was a touch bigger! 🙂
I was so excited to have Miss S in studio! It was the year of the boys this year and it was nice to be able to pull out some girly items! Such a small world; it just so happened that I had taken care of their dogs at the old veterinary clinic I had worked at for many years. Miss S was an absolute dream baby; so tiny and perfect and sleepy and cuddly and awesome (I could go on!). Mom and Dad really wanted to get a Candy Corn photo as it was just around Halloween. They brought the candy and an adorable little hat. When I asked if someone had made the hat for her, dad replied that he did! He learned to knit just so he could make things for his little girl (sigh. Is that not the cutest thing you have ever heard?)
Miss R has been one of my Grow With Me babies that I have seen every 3 months since she was in the womb! Her hair has been one of the most incredible heads of hair since she was a newborn! And her eyes….sigh….they truly are this blue and adorable! She loved her cake, in fact, I think she would have surely eaten every last crumb if we let her. It’s been so awesome watching her grow; watching her personality and seeing her family every few months. It makes me sad to think her first year is over and I won’t be seeing her as often!
I loved mama’s idea of her first birthday photo being taken while holding a photo of her during her newborn session- so cute! (and see what I mean about the hair??)
Mr A was a dream baby! 🙂 And it was so sweet to see him as I had photographed his sweet baby cousin just a couple weeks before! Both mom and dad are Chemists so they brought along their books which we had to include! And I love, love science! His sweet eyelashes were absolutely to die for. Every photo I edited I just couldn’t help but zoom in and stare at how awesome they were (many photos I didn’t even have to zoom in! They’re just so long!) And I could probably squish his big cheeks all day (although I bet he gets, and is going to continue getting, a lot of that!)
What a wonderful little family – congratulations on your amazing little boy!

Miss I – after two handsome boys finally a princess for mommy and daddy! I have to say that this little sweetheart looks exactly like her oldest brother! I have known this little ones mommy since she was just a little girl, she is the younger sister of a dear, dear friend of mine that I’ve had since we were in Kindergarten. I have watched her grow through grade school, highschool, marry her best friend (well, I got to make the wedding cake back when I owned a cake business!) and now photographing her princess. And what an angel she was! Which resulted in a ridiculous number of wonderful shots because she was just so good! And then her big brothers came in the studio and melt my heart, were the cutest things ever with their new baby sister. Congratulations to this wonderful family!
Miss T was such a sweetheart! Which comes as no surprise since her parents are just about the nicest couple you could meet. I met them a while back when I photographed them for their maternity session and I just LOVED watching how loving and caring dad was about his beautiful wife and the look of excitement on both their faces when they spoke about their baby girl. Little Miss T was so soft and sweet and squishy and just the perfect picture of love with her mama and papa. Her beautiful little lips are just something I couldn’t stop staring at with every photo I went through – comes as no surprise because her family is just full of beautiful people! (inside and out!)
And to top it off, when her parents came to pick up their disc, they dropped off a present for me and my upcoming baby girl! Could they get any sweeter?
Mr A had the cutest little cheeks I’ve ever seen! It took all my might to keep photographing him and not keep stopping to pinch those cheeks (seriously, they were so soft and squishy!). His mama brought an adorable hat (and matching booties) that were beautifully made for him before he was born and I think he liked it! (look at that sweet smile, how can you not smile back?)
What an angel~!
What a small world we live in! I was contacted by this sweet little man’s grandmother to book the session for her daughter. Little did I know her daughter happens to be my dental hygenist and THEN I find out she is also married to the best friend of my cousin! Actually Mama was one of the first people to know I was also pregnant as I had a dental appointment just 4 days after I found out myself, so I had to spill the beans! 🙂
I was so excited for them and she, in all her adorable sweetness, was just over the top excited when I told her we were expecting too. Baby C was so awesome, I just loved him! And I had to steal a couple nose rubs with him during his session, he was just so tiny and sweet. Daddy also brought along a few items to include and I think they turned out just awesome!
*(I also want to make it known that both the football and the train images are composites. This means that daddy’s hands never left the baby at any moment and it took multiple images to create this final one. Safety is extremely important to me and I will never compromise that!)* 🙂
I photographed Miss H’s parents a few weeks before her birth for their maternity session. I was so excited they were making the trip from Kitchener to bring her to me!
Miss H is the daughter of a man I grew up with, although when we were younger he seemed “so much younger” than I was! (Now it’s like we’re the same age) 🙂 Miss H totally rocked her session and I couldn’t help but fall in love. She looked just like mama and whipped through the first 45 minutes of her session like a rockstar before wanting a snack.
One of the best parts of the session did not even have to do with actually photographing her, but from watching dad with his new pride and joy. He was calm and gentle and clearly so in love with his 2 beautiful girls in his life. He also had an incredible way to soothing her quickly! I told him he better always be this helpful and that mama was certainly lucky (to which she agreed).
Daddy is also a professional bowler in the PBA and shortly before her birth he became a champion (yet again) and the honour of representing Canada in the Pan Am games. (And as of writing this, the Pan Am Games have just ended which resulted in a gold medal in doubles, multiple broken records and a bronze individual medal). You have made not only Canada proud, but your beautiful girls as well! Congratulations!
This sweet little guy was so awesome for his photoshoot! I was so happy I was able to fit him in on my day off from my other job. He had the most adorable cheeks and lips and his hair was awesome, one little wipe to wet it and it curled right up! I love it. He gave me a number of sweet smirks during his session and he was the perfect babe to make my little prince. I loved chatting with his mama, gramma and Auntie while they were here. He totally rocked all his ‘prop shots’ before wanting to have a little snack. Afterwards, I think he didn’t want to miss out and watch what was going on, but a full belly, a warm heater and gentle rocking he lulled back off to dreamland for the remainder of his session. Don’t you just want to squeeze him?
