I photographed Miss A’s big sister 2 years ago and it is amazing how much these two look alike. I had to keep reminding myself not to call her by her big sisters name! Big sister was so sweet too- I ran into them at a restaurant a few weeks before the birth and I had a great time with Miss N! She was so sweet and I just wanted to scoop her up and squeeze her.
I went to highschool and was best friends with this little one’s dad and I remember when he and his wife began dating when we were still so young (actually, it was just recently 17 years ago!)- So they have officially been together more than half their lives. So to be able to capture these parts of their lives for them means the world to me. I can really say I was there in the beginning of their relationship, the beginning of their marriage, the beginning of their parenthood and I hope I continue getting to be there always!
I love seeing my newborns again! A “couple” years ago I used to work with this beautiful mama before she left the animal field to cross over to the “human world”. 🙂
It’s been a little while since I saw her and I was so happy to see the little man since his newborn session! He was so smiley (and active!) and it was so much fun to see how excited he was and how happy this family is.
He also seemed quite proud of himself that he could stand on my little bed!
I am lucky enough to meet so many people in my line of work, both in the photography world and in the veterinary world. I have made some wonderful friends over all these years and fallen in love with some amazing children and pets! I used to take care of this family’s pets at my old clinic, so when they contacted me to do photos for their family I was very happy to see them again. These little boys are full of energy that is for sure! I think they were so cute even the gaggle of geese had to come right up out of the water and over to see us! (Seriously, they got quite close, the whole bunch of them!)
What a lovely family! The last 2 shots were completely unposed and candid moments, and for me, a true depiction of what it is like to have small children!
I have been photographing Miss R every 3 months, the first time being in her mama’s belly! She has grown and changed so much, and yet still the same! Her serious face is the best model face ever! And who can resist a crying cabbage patch? (She only cried but for a moment, but I had to capture it still!). I can’t believe her first birthday is just around the corner and her family and I will soon be discussing a theme!
Many, many moons ago, Erin and I became cousins through marriage and although the “cousin status” is not longer official, we have always kept in touch with each others lives (oh the magic of social media!). I have photographed Erin & Kyle’s family on numerous occasions over the last couple years, and their youngest daughters newborn shoot last year. They are a beautiful family (which I think is a vast understatement). These two are also huge inspirations to so many around them, both of them helping others gain control of their lives and their health through KPK Fitness. I see their posts on a regular basis, different exercises that can be done at home, with small children and at the gym. Their physiques are those to be envied (and trust me, being 18 weeks pregnant, I certainly envy them!). So I was excited they wanted to include that portion of their lives in their engagement photos. We had fun at their fitness studio with a series of fun shots between them and with their beautiful daughters.
I am looking forward to shooting their wedding, it’s coming up so quickly! And I’m also looking forward to having one of my dear and talented photographer friends, Stephanie from Stesha Bella Photography, shoot along side of me!
This wedding is going to be so much fun, I just know it!
I’m very excited for their little one to arrive, seeing as she is due on my birthday! I loved doing this session; they were so much fun! Mama had a number of adorable ideas for our in studio shots (I decided to continue to keep those private) and we had some awesome laughs during this session. Not only are these two super sweet, but look at them! This baby is going to be a triple threat! I seriously love watching new expectant parents interact with each other, and the love that is growing with each kick and move!
I had a couple extra holiday mini clients after I moved into my new home. I photographed these sweet twins (yes, they are twins!) when they were in their mama’s belly and then again when they were just a few days old. I love their individual little personalities! They were (eventually) excited to be around me and show me their new baby cousin who had just flown in all the way from out west! (Who I was very excited to meet!)
Then I had another gorgeous family here; I photographed sweet little sister just 6 months earlier for her newborn session. I love watching them grow! Big sister is a DOLL!
I love my job. There is no way around that statement to make it untrue. I love that my friends and family trust me enough to photograph them and I love that perfect strangers trust me enough to come to me without knowing me. I love that friends of mine, who no longer live in the city, travel back to Windsor and book sessions for when they are home so that I can photograph them. And that’s where Mr A comes in. I photographed his big sisters cake smash just a couple years ago, she was a hoot! I think she was my messiest cake smasher! These kids are so incredibly adorable and I love them! I wish they lived closer so I could see them on a regular basis (thank goodness for the magic of Facebook!). I love their mama, she is one of my longest and dearest friends. Friendship literally spanning decades (weird! I’m so young!)
Mr A has a smile (and dimples!) that totally melt your heart. Mama made this adorable cake and he wasted no time jumping right into his cake (brother like sister) 🙂
I dare you not to smile looking at these!
Miss M’s mama owns Tout Chic Baby Boutique (if you haven’t, you should check her out on Facebook or at her Etsy shop, http://www.etsy.com/shop/ToutChicBabyBoutique!). I heard of her business when another client of mine came with a gorgeous tutu for her own childs shoot. I loved her work and started purchasing props and items from her. I was very excited when she contacted me to do her daughter’s 1st birthday shoot. When Miss M showed up with her mama and papa, I couldn’t stop staring at her amazing eyes. She looks just like her mama! She has these beautiful big blue eyes and adorable pink, perfect little lips! I don’t know if I’ve ever faked sneezed so much in my life! Her mama made this wonderful smash cake for her to enjoy, but Miss M had other ideas in mind! We laughed when she wanted nothing to do with the “yucky cake” but life was made complete with just a few cheerios!!!
I enjoyed having this sweet peanut over for her shoot and am excited to continue a wonderful business relationship with her mama and her business!!

I photographed my newest nephew when he was just 9 days old. Which gave me lots of extra snuggle time without having to share him! He was very interested in what I was doing and loving his mama’s milk so he didn’t want to sleep too much. Looks like he’s going to be just like his big cousin, my daughter and never want to miss A: whats going on in life and B: a meal! I haven’t quite decided who he looks like, although he certainly has his daddy’s eyelashes! They are insanely long! (A little jealous, I admit it)
I also photographed him growing in the womb every 4 weeks from 18 weeks, with the final shot being when he, himself, was 4 weeks old. I love watching baby bellies grow! Truly is a miracle of life!!
