Watching families grow is one of the best parts of my job, and when it’s for people I already love, it’s even more special! I was honoured yet again to be asked to photograph a new sibling for their newborn session! Big brother S was just a little guy when I had him in studio 3.5 years ago, in fact, he fit on top of some of the very books that mom and dad brought back. To put it simply, I love this family. I love these people. And I am incredibly thankful to know them ❤
I’ve known Katherine for a number of years and have been photographing her children and family on numerous occasions. We both worked in the Veterinary field and share a love of humour and animals.
She’s always been a hilarious woman, so when she asked me to photograph her for her 40th birthday, cake smash style, I knew I was in for a treat!
And of course, she didn’t disappoint. Prepared with all the “usual fixin’s” for a cake smash, Katherine rocked this session like a toddler! 😉 (except instead of milk or water, we had a little wine)
These two beauties are my reason for everything I do. They, along with their little sister we are waiting to meet, are our world. They bring us laughter and joy. Tears and frustration. Happiness. Love.
I photographed Miss J’s big brother just a short time ago and was excited to hear that after 2 boys, this family was expecting their princess! I just knew I had to do another baseball photo with her too! And while big brother enjoyed being awake more than sleeping during his session, Miss J was the opposite~! She loved sleepy time! I had a great time snuggling this little sweetheart. It always warms my heart when I have clients return with their children and new babies- I am truly humbled. I was also excited to try out the little pants and hat that I made! And she just modeled them so well!

I just can’t believe how much Miss R has grown. Her hair is so long, it’s grown so much over this last year! Aside from all the growing and changes, she is still the same adorable little munchkin and I just love her.
She has to be, hands down, the sweetest, most compliant 2 year old I have ever seen. Every single thing I asked her was “ok” and she would then do it. And she was so happy and sweet. I loved telling her to “show me your teeth” as that got the best response from her! I seriously wanted to keep her. Her mama and papa are both very lucky to have such a doll. I can’t wait to watch her grow further. I loved listening to her sweet little voice and all the things she was saying. I totally, totally love her. She was greatly enjoying all the girly props, and then I brought out the more! I think she was in heaven!
A “few” years ago when I was in highschool, I was lucky enough to meet and be friends with a great, fun group of people (well, I guess depends who you ask will determine if it was “lucky” haha). Recently one of these highschool friends contacted me about photographing her daughter. I hadn’t spoke with her in a number of years so I was very excited to see her again, catch up but more importantly photograph her little one. And oh. Em. Gee. Was her daughter a doll! She was the perfect model for me and I wanted to kiss and snuggle her all day long! Her smile was infectious and so, so, so sweet!
It was so great to be able to catch up with her mama, meet her papa and of course, photograph her. Six months is one of my favourite ages, so smiley and happy over everything. I just loved her! I hope to see her again soon….it was a great day!

I normally do not photograph newborns over the age of 14 days; however I made the exception when Mr N’s mother contacted me. He was born just around the holidays, and I know as well as anyone, how crazy the holidays could be especially with children! So I agreed and we scheduled him right away. He came with his parents and big brother and boy oh boy, were these boys cute! His big brother had other ideas as to what he wanted to do, and they didn’t necessarily include his new little brother, but with a little coaxing, we were able to get them together! I know these boys are going to be so close and the best of friends as they grow older.
Mr N was sweet enough to finally fall asleep to get some wonderful sleeping shots, although he didn’t really want to give up his soother (even holding onto it tight!) he finally did.
Such a sweet family they were!
My youngest recently had her first haircut, she mainly needed it for her little bangs as you can tell she still doesn’t have the most hair! She was so excited to be able to sit in the “big girl chair” that she sees her older sister sit in. She loved it! And I love that I can capture these little moments for myself and my family. Just remember, Life Is In The Details.
Mr I has been coming to see me since he was in the womb! I photographed his gorgeous mama and papa while they were still pregnant, and just 5 days later Mr I decided to make a fairly early appearance! I have since seen him every 3 months for his First Year photoshoots. I cannot believe that we have only 1 more left! He is such a happy boy, he has captured my heart and gets me more and more each time I see him! I’m going to be quite sad after his next (and last) shoot. My my, how quickly one year passes!
